The new airport has been designed to handle a larger volume of passengers and cargo, and will feature state-of-the-art facilities to ensure a seamless travel experience for all visitors. In addition to the new airport, the government has set up a nearby Free Zone to encourage foreign investment and boost the local economy. The Free Zone is a designated area that offers a range of tax and duty exemptions, making it an attractive destination for businesses looking to expand their operations in the Caribbean. Overall, these developments are a clear indication of the government’s commitment to driving economic growth and promoting tourism in Grand Bahama. I believe that the new airport and Free Zone will offer a tremendous opportunity for both locals and foreign investors to tap into the region’s potential.
